Allergisches Kontaktekzem auf ein langjährig angewandtes Kosmetikum

Methylisothiazolinon als Typ-IV-Allergen

Zusammenfassung

Methylisothiazolinon (MI) wurde im Jahr 2004 als Konservierungsstoff im Sinne der europäischen Kosmetikgesetzgebung neu zugelassen und darf seitdem in Rinse-off-Produkten und Leave-on-Produkten verwendet werden. Dadurch kam es in den letzten Jahren zu einem dramatischen Anstieg der durch MI hervorgerufenen allergischen Kontaktekzeme. Wir berichten über eine Patientin, die ein streuendes, eine Photodermatose imitierendes Kontaktekzem durch eine neuerdings MI-enthaltende Gesichtscreme entwickelte. Die Epikutantestung bestätigte die Typ-IV-Sensibilisierung gegenüber MI.
