Frakturen im Kindesalter

Zusammenfassung

Kindliche Frakturen unterscheiden sich von den im Erwachsenenalter auftretenden knöchernen Traumafolgen. Ursachen sind unterschiedliche biomechanische Eigenschaften des wachsenden Knochens einerseits, aber auch altersspezifische Unfallmechanismen und Traumaexpositionen. Dies trifft speziell auf die körperliche Kindesmisshandlung zu, bei der der noch sehr unreife Knochen Krafteinwirkungen ausgesetzt ist, die zu relativ typischen Verletzungsmustern führen können. In diesem Beitrag werden die für das Kindesalter typischen Frakturen vorgestellt und insbesondere die für eine Misshandlung typischen knöchernen Verletzungen aufgezeigt.
