Genderaspekte bei koronarer Herzerkrankung

Zusammenfassung

Unser medizinisches Wissen und Handeln bewusst aus einem Sex-/Gender-Blickwinkel zu betrachten, ist ein neuer Weg hin zur individualisierten Medizin und weg von der geschlechterneutralen Lehre, wie wir sie bisher in den Leitlinien finden. Wertet man Daten großer Studien nach dem Geschlecht getrennt aus, so ist es offensichtlich, dass es bedeutende Unterschiede in allen Teilbereichen der Medizin wie der Epidemiologie, der Pathophysiologie, der Klinik, Diagnostik, Therapie und Prognose gibt – so auch bei der KHK. Nachfolgend werden kardiovaskuläre Risikofaktoren, Symptome, Diagnostik, konservative und auch operative Therapieoptionen aus der Genderperspektive dargestellt, um eine größere Geschlechtergerechtigkeit und eine bessere Versorgung von Männern und Frauen mit kardiovaskulären Erkrankungen zu erreichen.
