Zusammenfassung

Typ-1-Diabetes mellitus (T1D) ist eine der häufigsten chronischen Stoffwechselerkrankungen im Kindes- und Jugendalter. Pädiater werden in den verschiedenen Altersgruppen der Patienten mit unterschiedlichen Herausforderungen konfrontiert. Bei der Betreuung von Jugendlichen sind dies v. a. Verschlechterung der Stoffwechselkontrolle, Essstörungen, Risikoverhalten, Übernahme von Eigenverantwortung und die Transition.
