Zusammenfassung

Die interstitielle Zystitis wird nach wie vor zu selten diagnostiziert. Patienten haben oft einen langen Leidensweg hinter sich, bevor die richtige Diagnose gestellt und eine erfolgversprechende Therapie eingeleitet wird. Auch wenn die Pathophysiologie noch immer nicht ganz geklärt ist, existieren multiple Behandlungsansätze.
