Zusammenfassung

Im klinischen Alltag ist der Kinderarzt oft mit Veränderungen des Blutbildes konfrontiert. Am häufigsten sind Auffälligkeiten in der „roten Reihe“, also Normabweichungen, die die Zahl der Erythrozyten und ihrer Vorstufen, den Hämoglobingehalt, den Hämatokrit sowie die sogenannten Erythrozytenindizes betreffen. In vielen Fällen sind diese Auffälligkeiten jedoch harmlos und benötigen keine weitere Diagnostik und Therapie.
