Koronare Herzkrankheit und schlafbezogene Atmungsstörungen

Zusammenfassung

Epidemiologische Studien und pathophysiologische Erkenntnisse ergeben hinreichende Anhaltspunkte für einen möglicherweise kausalen Zusammenhang zwischen schlafbezogenen Atmungsstörungen und Entstehung bzw. Verlauf der koronaren Herzerkrankung. Untersuchungen zur koronaren Kalklast, zur Endothelfunktion und zum Verlauf nach perkutaner Koronarintervention bzw. nach Myokardinfarkt belegen die Bedeutung schlafbezogener Atmungsstörungen für kardiologische Patienten. Somit kommen der Detektion und Behandlung schlafbezogener Atmungsstörungen eine unmittelbare Bedeutung in der kardiologischen Diagnostik und Therapie, beispielsweise nach perkutaner Koronarintervention oder in der Postinfarkttherapie, zu.
