Kraniomandibuläre Dysfunktionen im Kontext Instrumental-spielassoziierter muskuloskeletaler Schmerzsyndrome

Zusammenfassung

Hintergrund

Kraniomandibuläre Dysfunktionen (CMD) sind ein häufiges Problem bei professionellen Musikern, insbesondere bei Bläsern und hohen Streichern. Bis zu 47 % der Blechbläser berichten über Instrumentalspiel-assoziierte Schmerzen im Bereich der Zähne und des Kiefers. Professionelle Orchestermusiker mit orofazialen Schmerzen zeigen außerdem ein deutlich erhöhtes Risiko für instrumentalspielassoziierte muskuloskeletale Schmerzsyndrome (IAMS) in anderen Körperregionen.

Methoden

Okklusionsschienen konnten bei hohen Streichern die Muskelspannung der Schulter-Nacken-Region während des Instrumentalspiels reduzieren. Außerdem ließen sich IAMS im Bereich der oberen Extremität und des Nackens ebenfalls über eine Okklusionsschienentherapie positiv beeinflussen.

Schlussfolgerung

Bei Musikern mit IAMS sollte insbesondere auch eine Diagnostik auf das Vorliegen von CMD erfolgen, um diese entsprechend mitbehandeln zu können.
