Molekulare Diagnostik beim Melanom

Zusammenfassung

Neue molekulare Technologien ermöglichen es, die dem Melanom zugrunde liegenden genetischen Veränderungen immer detaillierter zu charakterisieren. Sie führten so in den letzten Jahren zur Identifikation neuer Suszeptibilitätsgene beim familiären Melanom, von denen die meisten auch das Risiko für die Entwicklung anderer Tumoren übertragen. Das hat Auswirkungen auf weiterführende klinische Testungen sowie auf das Patientenmanagement. Molekulare Analysen beim Melanom sollten heutzutage routinemäßig erfolgen, um geeignete Patienten für entsprechende zielgerichtete Therapien zu ermitteln, und daher jedem Dermatologen vertraut sein.
