Zusammenfassung

Trotz der hohen Prävalenz und der häufig dramatischen individuellen Folgen osteoporotischer Frakturen sowie auch der enormen sozioökonomischen Kosten wird die Osteoporose weiterhin untertherapiert. In den letzten Jahren konnte für verschiedene antiresorptive und anabole Substanzen deren Effektivität im Hinblick auf die Frakturprävention gezeigt werden. Der vorliegende Beitrag gibt Ihnen einen Überblick über die pharmakologischen Behandlungsmöglichkeiten.
