Zusammenfassung

Der rasche Progress und die häufig infauste Prognose von Hirntumoren betreffen nicht nur die Patienten, sondern auch die Mitglieder ihres sozialen Umfeldes. Für die Angehörigen bedeutet die Tumorerkrankung erhöhten psychosozialen Distress und reduzierte Lebensqualität. Psychische Folgen können auch bei ihnen klinisch bedeutsam werden und therapeutische Interventionen notwendig machen.
