Zusammenfassung

Ischämische Schlaganfälle treten auch bei jungen Menschen auf. Sie haben oft andere Ursachen als Schlaganfälle bei älteren Patienten und erfordern in der diagnostischen Abklärung häufiger einen größeren Aufwand mit erweiterten Untersuchungen. Das akute Management von Schlaganfällen bei jungen Menschen unterscheidet sich nicht von dem bei älteren Patienten, die Sekundärprophylaxe richtet sich nach der Ursache.
