Cocaine is an alkaloid and one of the most frequently used illegal recreational drugs worldwide. A large variety of cardiovascular diseases are associated with cocaine use including myocardial ischemia and infarction [1], myocarditis [2, 3], cardiomyopathy [4], arrhythmias and sudden death [5], ruptured aorta [6], accelerated atherosclerosis [7], and endocarditis [8]. Cocaine is responsible for this cardiotoxicity by different pathophysiological mechanisms. …
