Tiefe Hirnstimulation beim Tourette-Syndrom

Zusammenfassung

Die Behandlung von schwer betroffenen, therapieresistenten Patienten mit Tourette-Syndrom ist nach wie vor eine große Herausforderung. Für diese Fälle ist die tiefe Hirnstimulation (THS) eine Behandlungsoption, deren Effizienz allerdings noch in größeren kontrollierten Studien überprüft werden muss. Nach den bisherigen Ergebnissen stellt die tiefe Hirnstimulation aber eine wirksame und sichere Behandlung bei erwachsenen, schwer betroffenen, therapieresistenten Patienten mit Tourette-Syndrom dar.
