Zusammenfassung

Früher war vor allem die Reduktion der Psychopathologie und der Symptome für den Erfolg einer Schizophrenietherapie maßgeblich. Mittlerweile werden depressive und kognitive Symptome als Kernsymptome der Schizophrenie wahrgenommen, die soziale Funktionsfähigkeit ist als Voraussetzung für eine adäquate Lebensqualität als Therapieziel erkannt.
