Zusammenfassung

Hintergrund

Die Behandlung der traumatischen Schulterluxation hat in den letzten Jahren einschneidende und innovative Änderungen sowohl in der konservativen als auch in der operativen Behandlung erfahren. Trotz oder gerade wegen der hohen Inzidenz der Verletzung, ca. 2 % der Allgemeinbevölkerung pro Jahr, werden die Behandlungskonzepte weiter kontrovers diskutiert.

Therapieergebnisse

Unbestritten ist, dass ein erfolgreiches Behandlungsergebnis mit stabiler und freier Schulterfunktion auch von patientenindividuellen Risikofaktoren und Ansprüchen abhängig ist, die eine individuelle Therapieempfehlung bedingen. Dies setzt die Kenntnis und kritische Auseinandersetzung des zu erwartenden Behandlungserfolgs der möglichen Therapieoptionen voraus. Persistierende Instabilitäten bis hin zur Reluxation, Schmerzen und die Unfähigkeit, Sport oder körperlich anspruchsvolle Berufe wieder aufnehmen zu können, sind die Hauptprobleme in der Verletzungsfolge. Die vorliegende Arbeit gibt eine Übersicht über aktuelle, z. T. sehr heterogene Ergebnisse der konservativen und operativen Therapiekonzepte.
