Wirbelkörperfrakturen im Rahmen eines generalisierten epileptischen Anfalls

Zusammenfassung

Die Epilepsie wird in der Literatur als die bei weitem häufigste Ursache generalisierter Krampfanfälle angesehen. Wirbelkörperfrakturen stellen mit einer Inzidenz von 3 % eine seltene Komplikation im Rahmen solcher Krampfanfälle dar. Wir berichten über den Fall eines 37-jährigen gesunden Patienten, welcher sich im Rahmen der Erstmanifestation einer Epilepsie mit primär fokalen, sekundär generalisierten epileptischen Anfällen multiple Wirbelkörperfrakturen der thorakalen und lumbalen Wirbelsäule zuzog. Unter kombinierter konservativer bzw. operativer Therapie war ein komplikationsloser Verlauf zu beobachten.
