Recently, the International Society of Addiction Journal Editors (ISAJE)—in an inspiring move that deserves recognition—announced a call to recruit reviewers from low and middle income countries (ISAJE, online communication). This change is certainly long overdue and deserves committed, long-term investment. Grunfeld (
