Zusammenfassung

Die „Achillodynie“ zählt zu den häufigsten Beschwerdebildern am Stütz- und Bewegungsapparat sowohl bei Sportlern als auch in der Allgemeinbevölkerung. Es ist wichtig, die unter diesem sehr allgemeinen Begriff zusammengefassten Krankheitsbilder zu differenzieren und deren Pathogenese zu verstehen, um die richtigen therapeutischen Maßnahmen zu ergreifen. Insbesondere bei den Insertionstendinopathien sollte eine rheumatologische Genese abgeklärt werden. Die Dopplersonographie stellt das wichtigste diagnostische Werkzeug dar. Zu den evidenzbasierten Therapiemethoden zählen verschiedene Trainingsprogramme, die Stoßwellentherapie, diverse Injektionstherapien und operative Verfahren, auf die jeweils im Beitrag genau eingegangen wird.
