Zusammenfassung

Die septische Koxitis ist ein seltenes Krankheitsbild und kann durch eine Vielzahl von Erregern ausgelöst werden. Der Ätiologie nach unterscheidet man eine primäre und eine sekundäre septische Koxitis. Im Initialstadium ist die Diagnosestellung schwierig. Eine Verschleppung der Diagnose bzw. eine zu spät eingeleitete Therapie kann für den Patienten fatale Folgen haben. Aus diesem Grund sollte schon bei Verdacht auf eine septische Koxitis die Therapie begonnen werden. Je nach arthroskopischem Befund wird die septische Koxitis in vier Stadien eingeteilt. Die besten Ergebnisse können durch eine Kombination aus arthroskopischer Spülung und kalkulierter Antibiose erzielt werden.
