Auszug

Ausgehend von aktuellen Implikationen der SARS-CoV-2-Pandemie für die psychische Gesundheit zeigen wir, dass neben psychoreaktiven auch biologische Verbindungen zwischen Inflammation und psychischer Erkrankung bestehen. Wichtige Prinzipien der biologischen Interaktion von Immunsystem und Psyche werden dargestellt. Zudem soll ein Stufenschema zur Diagnostik und Therapie autoimmunbedingter Hirnentzündungen Hilfestellung für die klinische Praxis geben mit abschließender Erläuterung der Rolle von Viren in diesem Kontext.
