Zusammenfassung

Aufgrund der zunehmenden Häufigkeit von Allergien wächst die Bedeutung der allergologischen Diagnostik. Neben Anamnese, Prick-, Intrakutan- und Epikutantestungen ist die Serologie eine wichtige Säule der Diagnostik. Die allergologische In-vitro-Diagnostik hat in den letzten Jahren enorme Fortschritte gebracht. Insbesondere durch komponentenbasierte IgE-Diagnostik können der Schweregrad und das Risikomanagement bei Nahrungsmittelallergien prognostiziert werden. Sogar neue Allergensyndrome konnten molekular aufgearbeitet werden.
