Soft tissue sarcomas (STSs) are aggressive malignancies that most commonly arise in the thigh. Historically, treatment often involved extensive resections that culminate in amputation, but now limb salvage with wide resection and reconstruction is becoming standard due to improved therapies.
1 However, limb-sparing resections still pose a significantly high risk of complications in up to 43.3% of patients.
