Neoadjuvant chemotherapy exhibited favorable survival benefits and improved R0 resection rates when compared with surgery alone for locally advanced gastric cancer, and gradually became the standard treatment.1 However, the pathological response linked to overall survival was not excellent, with pathological complete responses (pCR) of roughly 6–16%.2 Hence, the WuhanUHGI001 study aims to investigate whether neoadjuvant SOX combined with immunotherapy can further improve the therapeutic efficacy of locally advanced gastric and gastroesophageal junction (G/GEJ) adenocarcinoma. …
