Recent advances in surgical techniques, radiologic assessment, and perioperative management have increased the resectability rates of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) worldwide.
1 Although the Barcelona Clinic Liver Cancer (BCLC) guidelines recommend resection only for patients with BCLC-0 or BCLC-A HCC,
2 a growing number of studies have shown a benefit of resection among select patients with BCLC-B HCC.
