Projected increases in national cancer-attributable costs1 and breast cancer prevalence2 have raised concern that a growing number of patients will experience financial hardship as a result of their cancer care. Further investigations are needed to elaborate on emerging evidence that certain populations, including young adults and underrepresented demographics, may be particularly susceptible to negative psychological and clinical effects conferred by high-cost cancer care, i.e., financial toxicity.3 …
