Associations Between Inflammatory Indexes, Coagulation Indexes, and Fuhrman Grade of Clear Cell Renal Cell Carcinoma

Clear cell renal carcinoma (ccRCC) is the most prevalent primary malignant tumor of the kidneys.¹ The Fuhrman grade of ccRCC is essential for clinical decision-making and management. Many studies have provided evidence that tumor progression is not solely driven by tumor cells but rather involves complex interactions between different components of the tumor microenvironment. Inflammation often plays a pivotal role in the occurrence and development of various cancers.² Fibrinogens play important roles in cancer by regulating tumor cell proliferation, migration, invasion, and influencing immune cell functions within the tumor microenvironment.³ Moreover, obesity has been shown to be associated with the progression and prognosis of ccRCC.⁴ The relationship between these indicators and Fuhrman grade of ccRCC is inconsistent, which may be due to the nonlinear relationship between these indicators and Fuhrman grade. The objective of this study was to identify nonlinear clinical and imaging indicators associated with the Fuhrman grade of ccRCC and determine their cutoff values.
