Abstract
Augmentation mastopexy is traditionally seen as one of the most challenging procedures in aesthetic breast surgery. Adding volume to a ptotic breast is potentially problematic. The balance between elevation of a breast, which is by definition lacking in skin and tissue elasticity and adding weight in the form of an implant, poses many possible difficulties. This article addresses some of the key issues and principles in augmentation mastopexy.
