3. Autismusspezifische Besonderheiten der Entwicklung im Vorschulalter

Zusammenfassung

In Kap. 3 wird die spezifische Entwicklung von Kindern mit Autismus-Spektrum-Störungen in den für die Förderung zentral wichtigen Bereichen basierend auf dem aktuellen Stand der Forschung dargestellt. Bei Kindern mit ASS zeigen sich ab dem Ende des ersten Lebensjahres Einschränkungen der auditorischen und visuellen Wahrnehmung, der visuellen Orientierung, der Visuomotorik, im visuell-räumlichen Arbeits- und prozeduralen Gedächtnis, bezüglich des Lernens durch Imitation, in der Spielentwicklung, Konzeptbildung, beim Herstellen kausaler Zusammenhänge, dem regelbasierten Lernen, der Handlungsplanung, Inhibition und Emotionsregulation, der gemeinsamen Aufmerksamkeit und ihren Vorläuferfunktionen Deuten und Zeigen sowie der gemeinsamen Aufmerksamkeitsausrichtung, der sozialen Perzeption, Motivation und Kognition sowie der Sprachentwicklung. Als Voraussetzung für eine effektive Förderung muss eine detaillierte Entwicklungsdiagnostik durchgeführt werden. Darauf basierend werden in der Therapie die aufeinander aufbauenden Fertigkeiten individuell und aufeinander folgend eingeübt.
