Die axiale Spondyloarthritis (axSpA) ist eine chronisch rheumatische Erkrankung, die durch entzündlichen Rückenschmerz und verschiedene andere Krankheitsmanifestationen und Komorbiditäten gekennzeichnet ist [1]. Die ASAS (Assessment of SpondyloArthritis international Society) 2009 Klassifikationskriterien [2] unterscheiden zwischen der klassischen ankylosierenden Spondylitis (AS), heute eher radiologische axSpA (r-axSpA) genannt, und der nicht-radiologischen axSpA (nr-axSpA) auf der mehr oder weniger arbiträr festgelegten Grundlage des Vorhandenseins oder Fehlens definitiver radiologischer Veränderungen in den Sakroiliakalgelenken (SIG). …
