18. Bedeutung rekombinanter Allergene und Allergenderivate

Zusammenfassung

Dieses Kapitel soll einen Überblick über biochemische, biologische und klinische Eigenschaften von Allergenen geben, welche eine wichtige Rolle in der IgE-vermittelten Allergie spielen. Durch die Verwendung rekombinanter DNS-Technologie ist das Wissen im Bereich der Allergencharakterisierung rapide gewachsen. Die strukturellen biochemischen sowie immunologischen Eigenschaften von Allergenen können nun im Detail erforscht werden. Dieses Wissen beeinflusst in grundlegender Weise Diagnostik, Forschung und klinische Anwendung in der Allergologie. Es werden grundlegende Eigenschaften von Allergenen, der Weg von der DNS-Sequenz der Allergene zum rekombinanten Allergen und mögliche Anwendungen rekombinanter Allergene für die Analyse allergischer Erkrankungen, deren Diagnose und Therapie besprochen.
