Zusammenfassung

Bettwanzen begleiten die Menschheitsgeschichte seit mehr als 4 Jahrtausenden. Obwohl die Bettwanzenstiche mit einem geringen Gesundheitsrisiko einhergehen, besteht in der Bevölkerung eine große Angst vor Bettwanzenbefall. Der vorliegende Beitrag fasst die aktuelle Literatur zur gesundheitlichen Bedeutung von Bettwanzen zusammen.
