Zusammenfassung

Bipolare Störungen werden häufig erst Jahre nach der ersten Initialphase richtig diagnostiziert und therapiert. Schnittstellenprobleme, lange Wartezeiten auf Therapieplätze, spezialisierte Klinikangebote, mehr trialogische Zusammenarbeit und eine Erweiterung des Selbsthilfenetzes sind wichtige Punkte für eine verbesserte Versorgung. In Zukunft sollen Biomarker und technische Diagnostik eine frühe Aufklärung und Behandlung sichern, therapeutisches Drug Monitoring und Pharmakogenetik eine individualisierte nebenwirkungsarme Therapie ermöglichen.
