A search of the Web of Science database (http://​apps.​isiknowledge.​com) for publications by Pierre Delmas indicates that he has 30 original publications concerning bone turnover markers out of the 67 publications with citation counts over 100. It is clear that his contribution to the field of bone turnover markers is great and bone turnover marker research has been a large fraction of his contribution to research into metabolic bone diseases. …
