Zusammenfassung

Die Behandlung von Knorpelschäden am Kniegelenk ist sowohl aus klinischer wie auch volkswirtschaftlicher Sicht eine Herausforderung. Dieses Kapitel beschreibt detailliert sämtliche Techniken der modernen knorpelrekonstruktiven Chirurgie, welche sich in der Hand der Autoren bewährt haben: arthroskopische Mikrofrakturierung, autologe matrixinduzierte Chondrogenese (AMIC), unterschiedliche Varianten der matrixassoziierten Chondrozytentransplantation (MACT) sowie die hierfür notwendige arthroskopische Knorpelbiopsie, osteochondrale autologe Transplantation inklusive Mega-OATS-Verfahren und Spongiosaplastik mit MACT («Sandwich-Technik»).
