[18F]fluorodihydroxyphenylalanin ([18F]FDOPA)-PET/CT is considered the most useful imaging modality in evaluating patients with recurrent medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC) [1, 2]. MTC cells show high expression of cholecystokinin-2 receptors (CCK2R) [3, 4].
