[18F]fluorodihydroxyphenylalanin ([18F]FDOPA)-PET/CT is considered the most useful imaging modality in evaluating patients with recurrent medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC) [1, 2]. MTC cells show high expression of cholecystokinin-2 receptors (CCK2R) [3, 4]. Probes targeting CCK2R, such as 68Ga-labelled minigastrin analogues, therefore have great potential in detecting MTC lesions [4]. …
