A 40-year-old woman underwent resection of a right-sided adrenal tumor in a peripheral hospital. Surgery was complicated by bleeding, which ultimately entailed nephrectomy. During surgical mobilization of the liver, a tear developed in the caval vein. A longitudinal vascular suture up to the hepatic veins and clip ligation of side branches of the inferior caval vein was performed to terminate bleeding. …
