Abstract
Three-dimensional (3D) imaging procedures are gaining ever increasing importance in dental medicine. However, the rapid advance of these techniques poses a challenge to the user to update knowledge on a regular basis. This article reviews the techniques of computed tomography (CT), cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and their application in dental medicine.
