Zusammenfassung

Die chronisch obstruktive Lungenerkrankung (COPD) ist häufig mit Komorbiditäten vergesellschaftet. Kardiovaskuläre Begleiterkrankungen und das Lungenkarzinom nehmen Einfluss auf die Mortalität von Patienten mit COPD. Die frühzeitige Diagnose und die konsequente Therapie – insbesondere der kardiovaskulären Komorbiditäten – werden vermutlich der Schlüssel sein, um Morbidität und Mortalität der Erkrankung günstig zu beeinflussen.
