Ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS) is a complication that occurs in the luteal phase of an induced hormonal cycle. In most cases, the symptoms are self-limited, and spontaneous regression occurs [1]. Mild manifestations of OHSS include transient lower abdominal discomfort, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and abdominal distension. Life-threatening OHSS can progress to adult respiratory distress syndrome, renal failure, hepatic injury, hemostatic imbalances, and thromboembolic episodes [1, 2]. We report here a challenging case of critical OHSS and its management in a critical care unit. …
