Das Stammzellkonzept der Mamma

Zusammenfassung

Das Stammzellkonzept der Mamma ist eng mit der Frage nach Entstehung, Therapieansprechen und Verlauf des Mammakarzinoms verbunden. Die Fortschritte hinsichtlich der molekular-phänotypischen Charakterisierung einzelner Zellkompartimente in verschiedenen Lebensabschnitten innerhalb der Brustdrüse sowie das Verständnis um deren biologische Eigenschaften haben zur Identifikation unreifer Stamm-/Progenitorzellen geführt. Aufgrund fehlender einheitlicher Identifizierungsmethoden dieser Zelltypen ist eine Definition nur aufgrund des biologischen Verhaltens allgemein akzeptiert. Mit Hilfe des Mammastammzellkonzeptes lassen sich verschiedene klinische Erscheinungsbilder der Brustkrebserkrankung erklären (z. B. hereditäres Mammakarzinom). Entsprechende therapeutische Umsetzungen stehen allerdings noch am Beginn der klinischen Erprobung.

Zielgruppenorientierte Aufklärung über Hodentumoren gefordert

Die Evaluation eines Projektes der Marburger Präventionstage hat gezeigt, dass die Relevanz der Tastuntersuchung zur Früherkennung von Hodentumoren vielen Patientinnen und Patienten nicht klar ist. Relevante Pathologien zeigten sich nach Tastuntersuchung und Sonografie bei jedem Zehnten.

Grundlegende Therapieneuerungen beim Harnblasenkarzinom

Die Behandlung bei muskelinvasivem, nichtmetastasierten sowie metastasiertem Urothelkarzinom erfährt derzeit einen grundlegenden Wandel. Dieser geht mit deutlichen Prognoseverbesserungen einher. Leinlinienkoordinator Prof. Günter Niegisch gewährt Einblicke in die kommende Leitlinie.

Neue Empfehlungen bei Nierentumoren

Kürzlich ist die aktualisierte S3-Leitlinie zum Nierenzellkarzinom online gestellt worden. Auf dem Kongress der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Urologie (DGU) wurden zentrale Punkte vorgestellt. Es sind unter anderem zwei neue Kapitel hinzugekommen.

Antibiotikaprophylaxe: Kurzübersicht der EAU-Empfehlungen

Bei einigen urologischen Eingriffen wie der Zystoskopie zeigen sich keine signifikanten Vorteile einer Antibiotikaprophylaxe, bei anderen, wie der transrektalen Prostatabiopsie, ist eine klare Reduktion der Infektionsrate durch prophylaktische Maßnahmen belegt.
