Zusammenfassung

Das akute Nierenversagen (ANV) ist ein klinisches Syndrom, das im Kontext vielfältiger Krankheitsbilder auftritt. Obwohl der Begriff sowohl die Nierenschädigung als auch die renale Funktionseinschränkung oder eine Kombination aus beidem umfasst, basiert die Diagnose aktuell ausschließlich auf den Funktionsparametern Serumkreatinin und Urinausscheidung. Unabhängig von der ursächlichen Erkrankung und auch bei vollständiger Wiederherstellung der Nierenfunktion geht das ANV akut wie auch langfristig mit einer erhöhten Morbidität und Mortalität einher. Ein Bewusstsein für das individuelle Risikoprofil eines Patienten und für die Vielfalt der Ursachen und Manifestationen eines ANV ist für die Optimierung von Prophylaxe, Diagnostik und Therapie von entscheidender Bedeutung. Die Komplexität des klinischen Syndroms im Kontext von Sepsis, Organtransplantation, Malignomen und Autoimmunerkrankungen erfordert unterschiedliche diagnostische und therapeutische Ansätze und eine interdisziplinäre Betreuung.
