Zusammenfassung

Durch Abnahme der Inzidenz impfpräventabler Erkrankungen rücken seltene Nebenwirkungen wie allergische Reaktionen in den Vordergrund. Zudem werden Impfungen häufig mit der steigenden Prävalenz von allergischer Sensibilisierung und allergischen Erkrankungen assoziiert. Der Mythos „Impfen macht allergisch“ wird kolportiert. Im Folgenden wird die Evidenz zum Einfluss von Impfungen auf die Prävalenz von atopischen Manifestationen (Sensibilisierung, Asthma, allergische Rhinitis, Nahrungsmittelallergie) und atopischer Dermatitis dargestellt.
