Zusammenfassung

Positive Effekte sportlicher Betätigungen auf Körper, Psyche, Kognition und Lebensqualität sind unumstritten und Sport als präventive Maßnahme wird empfohlen. Gleichzeitig besteht große Unsicherheit bezüglich der zu empfehlenden körperlichen Aktivität während einer Schwangerschaft. Folglich wird Schwangeren häufig grundsätzlich von Sport abgeraten. Dem widersprechen Studien, die positive Auswirkungen auf den Gesundheitszustand von Mutter und Kind belegen. Da eine hohe Anzahl von Schwangeren nicht erst nachgeburtlich, sondern bereits während der Schwangerschaft unter Inkontinenz leidet, wird zudem insbesondere ein Fokus auf die Auswirkungen von Sport auf den Beckenboden gelegt. Der diesbezügliche Forschungsstand wird dargelegt, und mögliche Schlussfolgerungen werden diskutiert.
