Advanced maternal age (AMA) is associated with an increased risk of pregnancy complications, including gestational hypertension, preeclampsia, gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM), and preterm delivery [ 1]. Previous studies have demonstrated that individuals diagnosed with these conditions have altered cardioautonomic control, including reduced heart rate variability (HRV), elevated blood pressure variability (BPV), and elevated left ventricular contractility (LVC) [ 24]. As AMA is a key risk factor for the development of pregnancy-related cardiovascular complications, similar alterations in cardioautonomic control might be evident in AMA pregnancy. …
