Zusammenfassung

Stürze im Alter stellen für viele Menschen ein erhebliches Risiko für die körperliche Integrität und die soziale Teilhabe dar. Dieser Artikel stellt die Ursachen und die Diagnostik bei Sturzpatienten dar, mit besonderem Schwerpunkt auf möglicherweise zugrunde liegende Gangstörungen. Für die einzelnen Sturzursachen werden mögliche Maßnahmen zur Therapie und Sturzvermeidung vorgestellt.
