Zusammenfassung

Die humane Ontogenese verläuft in mehreren Stadien. Es wird zwischen Präembryonalperiode, Embryonalperiode und Fetalperiode unterschieden. Sie sind jeweils von bestimmten Entwicklungsvorgängen geprägt. Insgesamt ist die menschliche Entwicklung insbesondere in den ersten zehn Wochen ein hochkomplexer und störungsanfälliger deterministischer Prozess.
