Patienten mit Small-fiber-Neuropathien leiden häufig unter neuropathischen Schmerzen wie Brennschmerzen und einschießenden Schmerzattacken, aber auch unangenehmen Missempfindungen und Störungen des Temperaturempfindens. Begleitend können autonome Funktionsstörungen durch Schädigung der kleinkalibrigen vegetativen Nervenfasern auftreten und zu Symptomen wie einer orthostatischen Dysregulation, Hypo-/Hyperhidrosis, Obstipation/Diahrrö, Palpitationen oder einer erektilen Dysfunktion führen. Diese Symptome haben oft eine eingeschränkte Lebensqualität zur Folge. …
