Zusammenfassung

Biliäre Tumoren sind eine heterogene Gruppe von Tumorerkrankungen, für die sehr lange nur eine sehr begrenzte Anzahl von Therapiemöglichkeiten in der fortgeschrittenen Situation zur Verfügung stand. Neben interventionell radiologischen Verfahren hat sich auch das Spektrum der verfügbaren Systemtherapien deutlich erweitert. Dabei eröffnet vor allem die verbesserte molekulare Charakterisierung der Tumoren durch Hochdurchsatzsequenzierung neue therapeutische Angriffspunkte, wodurch eine Individualisierung der Therapie mit einer deutlichen Verbesserung der Prognose möglich wird.
