Zusammenfassung

Sexuell übertragbare Infektionen (STI) sind meist asymptomatisch, können jedoch unbehandelt schwerwiegende gesundheitliche Folgen nach sich ziehen, u. a. Gebärmutterhalskrebs, Unfruchtbarkeit sowie bei Schwangeren Fetopathien, Fehl- und Frühgeburtlichkeit. Es ist daher wichtig, dass STIs rechtzeitig erkannt und behandelt werden. In diesem Beitrag wird auf Symptome, Diagnostik und Therapie der häufigsten STIs eingegangen.
